Since the beginning of this year, the Lanxi textile industry has overcome various difficulties, turned crises into opportunities, and implemented precise policies. On the one hand, it has expanded new sources of customers in the international market, and on the other hand, it has tapped into new demands in the domestic market. New momentum is surging in the “dual circulation”, allowing enterprises to develop steadily against the trend.
Today, in the production workshop of Zhejiang Blue Dream Textile Co., Ltd., workers are rushing to produce a batch of orders from Guangdong. Chen Yan, the Deputy General Manager of Sales of the company, admitted that as an enterprise with a foreign trade export proportion of 80-90%, the first half of this year has been very difficult. She told reporters that this year’s epidemic is a big test, which makes everyone start to reflect on whether the business model based on foreign trade can support enterprises to go higher and further.

We realize that the domestic market has enormous potential and demand, and for us as a local enterprise, it is very important to explore the domestic market. “Chen Yan said that in the first half of this year, after visiting major textile markets in China and based on the information collected, they developed a batch of products suitable for the domestic market and trends. After launching them into the market, they achieved good results and developed many domestic customers.
In the long run, walking on two legs is a more stable development direction for enterprises. In the future, while consolidating the foreign trade market, we will also continuously explore the domestic market through product innovation, striving for the synchronous development and growth of both domestic and foreign markets, so that enterprises can embark on a healthy and balanced development path, “said Chen Yan.

With the recovery of the previous foreign trade market, some textile enterprises in Lanxi have also begun to adjust their thinking, actively exploring new markets in ASEAN and other regions while stabilizing old customers in Europe, America and other regions. During this period, Zhejiang Qixing Textile Co., Ltd. has been cooperating with clients from ASEAN countries such as Vietnam.
The stable development of enterprises this year cannot be achieved without the full support of the municipal party committee and government. Government departments not only organize enterprises to participate in online exhibitions, but also set up work teams to help enterprises explore the market together. “Chen Huan, the office director of Zhejiang Qixing Textile Co., Ltd., said that efforts will eventually yield results. In September, the company ushered in a” harvest season “and received many orders from ASEAN countries. As of now, the export of white cloth from enterprises to ASEAN has increased by about 30% year-on-year. Next, we will increase investment in technological upgrades, research and development, intelligent manufacturing, and other areas to better meet customer needs in terms of product quality, “said Chen Huan.

Over the past year, the Lanxi Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology has done a lot of work to ensure the stable development of textile enterprises. Especially for denim enterprises that are mainly engaged in foreign trade, by encouraging them to explore new domestic customers, after six months, the proportion of domestic sales has gradually increased from 10% to 30-40% now. “The head of the bureau said that in the next step, Lanxi will continue to encourage textile enterprises to walk both inside and outside, laying a solid foundation for better development of the enterprise.
