As the knocking on the door continued, the team members welcomed lovely campers one after another. After the campers sat down with their team members, the opening ceremony of the “I Love My Home” New Lanxi Youth Camp was officially held.
We are the successors of communism, inheriting the glorious traditions of our revolutionary predecessors… “The activity room rang out with a passionate and resounding song,” I love my family. “The opening ceremony of the Xinlanxi Youth Camp in Enterprises kicked off with the song. Ms. Hong Liping from the Youth Palace delivered a speech at the opening ceremony with the earnest instructions of the organizers. Mr. Huang Huanhong, Vice Premier of Blue Dream Textile Co., Ltd., also gave a speech amidst applause. In their speeches, Mr. Hong and Mr. Huang expressed a warm welcome to the young campers, expressed their gratitude to the team members, and sincerely wished the event a successful one. Finally, Shi Jiaxin, the captain of the “Red Heart Towards the Party” summer social practice team, made a solemn commitment on behalf of the team members.
At the end of the speech, under the guidance of the host, the team members and campers introduced themselves to each other and gained a preliminary understanding of each other. After one-on-one communication between team members and campers, the host announced that the ‘Perfect Childhood, Spring Mud Plan’ public welfare action has officially begun.
In the first lesson of the camp, team member Zhao Ruonan took into account the current anti epidemic background and focused on how young campers can protect themselves during the epidemic. He led the campers to watch videos promoting and explaining knowledge about “epidemic prevention and control”. The publicity video allows children to understand what novel coronavirus is and how to effectively prevent it, and lets the campers show the specific steps of “seven steps washing method” through interaction, so as to promote the formation of good health habits of the campers and the cultivation of anti epidemic ideas. During this period, in order to liven up the atmosphere, we played small games such as “Carrot Squat” and “Chair Grab”, and the classroom was lively.
In the afternoon, team member Wang Siyu carried out the “Anti epidemic Knowledge Classroom” activity, explaining anti epidemic knowledge in the form of videos and encouraging young campers to actively learn through prize based Q&A, fully mobilizing the atmosphere of the classroom.
Finally, Wang Siyu demonstrated the process of making masks to everyone and asked other team members to assist the campers in making their own masks. The masks made by the small campers come in various forms – not only incorporating patterns related to the fight against the epidemic, but also incorporating elements from the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. This activity deepened the awareness of the young campers towards the fight against the epidemic, while also expressing their best wishes for the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
